I'm curious as to what this new "remaster" of the original series is. Will it be just a 4K remaster or are they remaking it entirely? I'm sure it's more likely to be the former, because the latter would be a bigger announcement. But I never bought the 0079 Blu-Rays (outside the movies), so this would be a good chance.

I hope Bandai and Sunrise are making a true remake, don't get me wrong, I still love the original 0079 Gundam series and its compilation films, but the animation of the series in general wasn't exactly the best, even for 1979 standards, there were some cool scenes in the original series, and the compilation movies had some improved scenes, but a Gundam 0079 remake similar to the Space Battleship Yamato reboot would be great. |
