Sony making it even harder to choose PlayStation, as if it wasn't hard enough.

It feels like Sony is burning a lot of good will recently. The console price increases, these subscription fee increases, and the decision to keep single play games off of PC all hurt different parts of their customer base.

This one suffice to say may have been driven from the fact that sales of those PC ports slid from where they were when they initially started bringing games to the PC. Not to mention they already annoyed some PC players by requiring creation of a PlayStation account to play those PC ports. |

I'd say that's more to do with the quality of those games slipping in general and people not wanting to play them more than anything else. |

Oh some of the game’s have optimization problems to be sure not unique to Sony’s titles. But I think you underestimate how many people want Sony’s games available on PC. If people still bey at the idea of idea of Nintendo bringing their stuff to other platforms it’s all but a given they want Sony’s titles too. Cursory glance on Reddit more or less expounds on the myriad of issues with the PC ports. https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/1rmfoxt/sales_data_indicates_sonys_ps5_ports_are/ |

Nintendo did the same in Japan, I guess Sony is following suit. On the other hand I hear Xbox is reducing the cost of Gamepass it seems for what that's worth to people anymore.
I've mostly fallen out of playing video games for various reasons and I no longer own any consoles and just a PC to play the occasional title that catches my eye but it does seem it's not the best time to be into them. |
