easily one of the most UNDERRATED shows of the year for me. it's impressive how much i LOVED this show, i was actually thinkin' about talking about it more just because of how much i love this show.
for context, this show landed on my #1 spot for "favorite show of the season", beating out both mono and food for the soul. again, massive props to this show. i even requested an artist to draw a crossover between mono and zatsu tabi, that's how much i love this show.

My wife and I (both huge Yuru Camp fans) finally finished this one a couple of weeks ago, right before going on a weeklong road trip ourselves, and it was pretty great. Absolutely made for people who need this kind of low-stress, feel-good self-guided travel show in their life. While it does not rise to quite the same level of ~vibes~ as Yuru Camp, it's still very much a sweet show that focuses on self-discovery and growing friendships through interacting with the world (and vice versa). Really put us in a great headspace for our own travels. It's also pretty similar to Food for the Soul from the same season, which we also finished, and in both of those cases it's nice to see something about college-aged young adults rather than high school kids. The last few eps definitely wrapped up some of the developing friendships nicely, with a lot of "aww" moments. Even if the way the manga story at the very end was shown seemed a little clumsy, it was still really endearing - there's so many times you have stories about a manga artist where you don't actually get to see much of their manga, that this was kind of refreshing!
It's a show where I don't feel like I need to rank it or compare it to other similar shows point by point. It lays out what it has to offer pretty well in the first couple of episodes, and then follows through.

Well, I have only watched the series twice.

Really? I want to watch all the shows that I have missed.
Of course, the one thing that anime does that generally does not happen anywhere else (country and medium) is iyashikei/SOL/CGDCT.
