Was browsing some entries in the encyclopedia and had a question. Some series have one guy directing and he's called a Series Director (Sailor Moon, Cowboy Bebop) while others have somebody in the same position but he's just called a Director. (Love Hina, Cardcaptor Sakura) What is the difference between these two roles?

Some have both. Most perplexing is Princess Tutu.
Chief Director: Junichi Sato Series Director: Shougo Kawamoto Director: Shōgo Kōmoto (Although I suspect Shougo Kawamoto and Shogo Komoto are the same person.) Anyway, like you I'm intrigued by the difference between chief director and series director. |
