So I just finished watching chobits and I have a question I hope someone here can answer, if it was even explained in the show at all. What was the program that chi was expected to execute when she found "The one that is only for her." and why?
Also, what happened to freya at the end? Did she just go back inside chi?
Sorry if this is the wrong section, I did not see anywhere else that this would go.

Personally I thought it pretty obvious the program in Chi gave all persacoms the ability to grow emotionally and think for themselves better. In short a more advanced form of artificial intelligence. Notice how all their eyes change at the end to look more human. If you want more answers you should read the manga. I thought it went a little deeper into what happened. It was released in a nice omnibus format recently too I think.
That's the best I can do for you since it's an older show and it's been years I watched or read it.
