Something of interest. Hideo Kojima (creator of Metal Gear Solid) made a game around 20 years ago called Policenauts. And only recently was someone able to spot an homage to Kiki's Delivery Service in the game.

To me that looks more like a coincidental similarity, and not really very similar.
But, I don't know.
