If they broadcast Human Tetris, that would be rad.

They need to open one of these in Miami so I can see some of this stuff in the theater for once...

If I still lived in San Francisco, I would so go there...

This'll hopefully make San Francisco's Japantown much more worth going to. Since I'm in San Jose, it's just far enough out of the way to be a bit of a hassle (2 trains and a bus, or about an hour drive and annoying parking), and there's enough Japanese/anime stuff near here that about the only thing it offers now that I can't get locally is the Super 7 store.

I'm soooo glad I live near San Francisco.
I hope some movies that are only getting screentime in L.A. will be screened here. Oh wait.. I hope it isn't Viz exclusive movies. |

Sweet! I live in San Francisco, and I go to Japan Town once a month (I'd go more often but I'm disabled) man I can't wait for that, maybe it will show anime that I like... and other things... that would be awesome!

So, they purified it with a Shinto ceremony? Interesting, and on the surface, rather pretentious. I wonder if it was for PR in the neighborhood that they are in. Otherwise, it's just an uncritical acceptance of anything Japanese (Japanophiles on a corporate level), which, as an anthropologist and resident of Japan, really bothers me.

Damn! Why did I move away from Nor Cal? Maybe I can stop in next year when I'm out there for Fanime.

LOL. Serves you right for moving all the way out to the midwest. I can kill two birds with one stone--visit friends who live in Japantown, and drag at least one of them to see whatever's playing. Just have to time my visits right to make sure I get to see something cool. Yay for BART. |
