You guys really don't like it that much? Makes me sad, I gave it one of the two masterpeice ratings. I mean I can't remember the last time I watched a brand new episode (ep. 22 to be exact) of any anime and even though it was 21 minutes long it seemed like I was only watching for 3 minutes 4 tops thats how "into" I was. Well I guess everyone likes their own things but I for one think a rating of weak is just way off.

It was okay in my opinion. I don't hate it but it's not one of my favorites.

I always give tha benefit of tha doubt and thought mabey its just my love for tha Samurai, but when I break tha series down I realize its not just the fact I love almost anything with Samurai in it but I also like tha characters, their designs, the animation, setting, and story. It has almost everything I could want in a series. But I guess if its not for you then its just not.

I...don't quite understand where you're getting "low" rating from. Most of the ratings given are in the green, which I'd say is pretty damn good.
As for why people don't go all ga-ga over it like you seem to expect, I can't say for myself, but the people I've talked to have said the entire series is one long session of going nowhere that simply uses the real-life Shinsengumi as a gimmick to hock generic "I'll Be the Best!" Shounen Action Cartoon #5-B. I don't like passing judgment on shows I haven't seen, but it really doesn't look that fascinating, even if I am a tremendous fan of the Shinsengumi (of course, the concept of a whiny, snivelling brat running around with some of my favourite historical swordsmen might just be the very thing putting me off).
I'll probably give it a try at some point, but there are a few other series that are doing a mighty fine job of holding my interest at the moment.

It's nothing like the Kurogane manga but it follows the Peace Maker storyline from the original manga somewhat closely. They jump around a lot in the timeline and add some stuff that wasn't there to begin with, but not being exactly like the manga is a pretty crappy reason for hating something. You've read the manga, why do you want to see the same story again?
Also, the show is absolutely NOT and "I'll be the best!" series. It's a drama, and if you've seen more than, say, 2 episodes, you'd know that. People rip on me for making judgements on series that I've only seen one episode of; I'm not about to let you people do the same. Peace Maker Kurogane, while it's fairly up and down, is overall a quality series.

I guess not alot of people that come to tha site actually cast votes on series because tha new episode came out today and its has tha most seeds/leechers I've seen since I started using Bit Torrent a couple months ago, and I just got home around 4pm western time so im sure it wasnt even at peek download.
Right now Episode 23 has 600+ seeds and nearly 2000 leechers.

2000 leechers isn't one of the highest numbers bittorrent has seen in the last two months. Keep an eye on the latest Naruto or FMA ep when it comes back, and you'll see it easily beating that amount.
Most people stopped watching it around ep 10 because it just seemed to be going nowhere with filler after filler. I hear now in the recent eps it's finally gotten somewhere, but I'm not really intrested enough to see. I'll wait to rent it in the future when it comes out here. *is expecting ADV to have it along with Matantei Loki because of their big Mag Garden deal*

Yes. Naruto gets upwards of 4000 leeches, and probably over 50,000 downloads during the initial release of the episode...
... and probably 50,000 or more from IRC, public and private FTPs, and various other P2P programs..

I took your advice and checked into it. For all the negative criticism I'd heard about it, I'm actually pleasantly surprised. Not the best thing in the world, but it seems to be a pretty good show.

Yah I know tha Naruto downloads are insane but its quite sad tha first episodes are not as popular and its takes forever to get 5 MB downloaded with my connection even though I have Cable, so unfortuantly I've only seen tha first episode when it downloaded it like a year ago and now with it being on episode 75 its seems impossible and foolish to try and catch especially since some Western Anime Studio will probably license it anytime now.

You can catch up through the manga. The anime follows the manga almost word for word.
