whew, now that I am fairly confident that this movie is NOT in the hands of a colossal idiot, I will probably be seeing it around this time next year (and I'm a huge Astro Boy fan and need to get ahold of the 1960 show). As someone who is unusually unfamiliar with pop-culture in America (I'm rather considered weird, I've never seen Star Wars and a whole bunch of things that always get pop culture referenced. I only get the ones pertaining to videogames), its always nice to see a movie that doesn't get American pop cultered the heck out of as it always serves to annoy me and take me out of the experince to the point where i'll just leave the theatre.
