I did wonder about that, but I hope it's not an April Fool gag, as I enjoyed that show the more when it got all out crazy, as it did increasingly often.

I'm kind of hoping it is. I liked the series, but it didn't really have a plot, and I feel like there isn't a lot left to do with it.

Given this was announced like, in the last few moments of the final episode, I would assume it's real. I for one am very happy that it's getting a sequel. I really loved the show, and the last few episodes only solidified that love. There are plenty of things they could still do with it though (I mean, they could be as basic as adding more Classicaloids to the cast). Being so heavily episodic means that there is a lot of potential for more content, I don't really see how this is an issue.

I honestly wasn't expecting this to happen, but I'm very happy about it. Not many people watched this show but I've followed it weekly and enjoyed pretty much every episode.

I've watched a couple of random episodes, but just sat down and properly started the series today. I already love it a lot, so I'm glad to hear it's getting a second season/series. ♥

well good to hear that it's going to have a season 2. It's actually a very sweet anime but too bad it wasnt getting enough attention. But the real question for me here that is really bugging me for a long time now is that what studio animared this?: sunrise or BNp. They say its sunrise because its what the wikipedia says but the others its BNP because its what they see on the OP. Makes me wonder.

Not to be harsh here but they are more or less the same studio to begin with. Just a different brand to release it under.

nah. it doesn't mean they're sister studio they're the same. They were lead by different head and staffed by diff staff. Gintama sunrise vs gintama bnp was pretty different (where bnp vers got pretty vivid color with out of place special effects). Well i'm just pretty concern and curious on who did this piece of work known as classicaloid. thats all.
