Why wasn’t the Disastrous Life of Saiki K. 2 on the poll?

So Violet Evergarden is eligible because it's being streamed by Netflix in some non US territories, but The Seven Deadly Sins is not? Anyway, decent enough list in a season that I am not particularly enthused about.

I guess Gabriella takes one for the team.Smile Hopefully After the Rain is able to counterbalance it somewhat...

Same with The Silver Guardian Season 2. I would've voted for Saiki K Season 2 if it was on the poll, but I guess looking at a seasonal list and putting the right shows in the poll requires too much effort.

The sure-fire anime of the season is in safe hands! My gratitude goes to Gabriella for volunteering.

On another note, I notice all the season's slice-of-life shows managed to find reviewers. I expected some degree of attenuation in this respect, but I'm happy to be corrected.

That's a great line-up of shows to be reviewed and they seem well-paired with their respective reviewers. I'm watching shows that aren't on that list but frankly, as much as I am enjoying some of them, none of them are the type of of show that "need" reviews (like, for example, Hakumei and Mikochi... I'm not sure there's more to say other than, "Daaawwwww!")

I would have been shocked if Death March hadn't made it. After all, In Another World With My Smartphone did, and its first episode was just as poorly-received. People like to see episode reviews on isekai series, I guess.

That Ryuo's Work didn't make it isn't as big a surprise, as despite some ardently vocal supporters, loli stuff commonly doesn't fare well here and Shogi-focused titles generally have to have something else going for them besides the Shogi.

I am quite surprised that neither the Basilisk sequel nor Katana Maidens made the cut when Junji Ito Collection did, though. (You can expect a review of the former at the end of the season, as I'll probably be following it.) I'm also a little surprised that DamePri didn't get voted in, given how much it was talked about.

The first season didn't garner enough votes to get daily streaming so that might have disqualified the second season. Same could probably be said for The Silver Guardian 2.

Sigh... No Sanrio Boys, no Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens*, no DamePri, no IDOLiSH7, not even season 2 of Sword Boys... I thought at least Sanrio Boys would make the cut. The girl stuff doesn't get enough love....

At least we are getting "Adorable Tiny Monsters: the Anime"* and "Adorable but Exhausting Toddlers: the Anime". (CCS and "Who Are We Kidding, Boys On Bikes Is A Girl Show" were shoo-ins, so no surprise there. [Edit: Wait, Boys On Bikes didn't make it either? Confused ])

* Not officially shoujo, but come on.

I actually enjoyed reading the reviews for Yowapeda but I get it. Also I thought Sanrio Boys would have made it. A lot of people seemed to like it. I hope it gets a full review when it is over.

Is SDS being streamed weekly on Netflix anywhere, though?

Anyway, I'll definitely be watching it once it's available, so you can expect a seasonal review on that, too.

...seriously? Pop Team Epic? Whoever voted for that series are sadistic. Because that’s just pure torture. And I hope y’all shower her with gifts after each episode.

I like pop team epic, but I'm not quite sure what there will be to talk about. Maybe just point out all the reference and any deviation from the first part in the second part.

But otherwise the review will probably be just "well random stuff happened again this week".
