Half of a year. Don't forget half of 2019 is already behind us and this premieres in January 2020.

Wait, in what world is 'almost a year out', or almost 12 months out in other words, the same thing as 6 months? That's not even close. There are no 'semantics' there, so he's not wrong in pointing out what he did lol.

I think the thought did occur to me that Funi might get this one when I saw the headline is from the creator of Sora no Oto. Heck, I think that was a reason why Funi licensed this upcoming show.
