I think my favorite gag with Oshiro is when their classmates invite Raido and Aharen to the summer festival, and Aharen just pulls up the floorboard in the classroom to expose Oshiro to see if she can come too...

I nearly dropped it for treading water, but the last couple started expanding things some. Like, the newest characters are very forgettable, but they provide a needed board to bounce things off. Like, in the first episodes, it would have only been Aharen reacting to fevery sexy Raido, but adding the others really improved the joke.

I'm sure all those people are watching Kunoichi Tsubaki (that's not a dig against the show by the way, just against a certain subgroup of its viewers). Aharen's show is a bit to slow at times, but it's comfy and the surreal jokes are the funniest part of it, because they're treated as normal while not overused by creators, so it's just a one or two subtle WTF moment for every episode. The relations between the leads are great and like mentioned in this column, they make a nice equal couple. |
