Holy crap at the amount of Covid news in Japan this past week. And as usual, it happens before an event. Hope Ao-chan recovers with ease.

I notice none of the reports like this one mention anything about vaccination. Overall about 82% of Japanese are fully-vaccinated and 67% have received at least one booster. Still that's a lot of hold-outs, and Japan now leads the world in the number of new COVID cases. Yesterday it came in just short of 233,000 cases.
