Ugh, with each new FUNImation releases of Shuffle!, the bad memories come flowing back. You say "deeper plot", I say mostly ridiculous melodrama (although some will say it's actually good melodrama, but that's not my opinion), the only thing really good about the second half is the fact that you get to see the character you hated suffer (seriously, don't tell me the 12 first episode tried to make them likable and why should you care about their suffering if you didn't cared about them in the first place)! On the top of that, there are still a couple of bad episode among the "good" melodrama, so not even half the series is "good".

I liked Shuffle but I've said it countless times on the other reviews.

You'll either love it or hate it (I'm guessing more will hate it than love it but there you go.)

Banging on about how rubbish it is wont change anyones mind.

Wink I bet it does. By the way that wasn't a personal attack on your post alone, I didn't think anyone had posted yet. Life would be very boring without difference of opinion and at least you make your point well. I think the comedy just fitted with me which made the series far more tolerable than if it hadn't.

It's nice to see this review up. I have to disagree with the dub part on Rin's voice. It never really felt forced to me, but that's my view. Anyhow, volume 4 is coming up soon and I can't wait to get it. I want to know what happens already! Volume 3 ended on too big of a cliffhanger for me and considering all my favorite crime dramas last month ended with horrible cliffhangers (Cliffhangers are driving me nuts!), I so want to know what happens next in this series!

Oy!

I like to say to my fellow chaps that it is not an anime for everyone to enjoy. If you have a bit fetish go right ahead. If like it from it's origins, go knock yourself out mate.
However, this is as it is said before, an anime that in not devoted entirely to the original content. Taking the letter H out of the rating, puts the anime to another level where, story plots does matter.
Enjoy it or not, anybody can be susceptible to watching; but for anybody to buy it because they like watching it, isn't that just perspective.
