Definitely going to grab this, and while I don't expect it to happen I think it'd be really cool if Seven Seas later puts out Daiji Kazumine's manga version of Ultraman, which was serialized around the same time as Kazuo Umezz's but in a different magazine, if only to showcase how the show was interpreted by two different mangaka. Kazumine would even go on to draw the manga for Ultra Seven when that show aired, too, so while Umezz's Ultraman is easily the more "interesting" take I think there'd be value in Kazumine's version, too.
This was often seen with manga adaptations of TV shows back in the 60s & 70s, with Go Nagai's mech anime being the most recurring. Nagai himself would make one manga version for a magazine while Dynamic Pro staff member Gosaku Ota would make another at the same time for a totally different magazine. But I imagine Seven Seas is just focusing more on the novelty of Kazuo Umezz making an Ultraman manga, which makes perfect sense. |

Same here, I only have my Gorenger manga omnibuses. I would like to get the Kamen Rider one along with this particular old Ultraman manga too.
Well, the more Ultraman manga we can get in the US. The better!!! I would love to see other lesser well-known Ultraman manga from decades ago that never got release in the US to get release here. I mean we got the Godzilla and Godzilla Raids Again novelization along with the original Mothra novel (which was the basis for the 1961 film, Mothra) translated in English many years later and finally released in the US (you can buy them on Amazon for a good price, and yes, I would love to read those 2 despite being a translation). |

Oo, a must buy for me! I was sad to see the Classics line peter out, so I'm really glad they're releasing this and want to support that.
