Me and my friend picked this show to watch at random and my God it is hilarious. So wrong in many ways, and I'm sure a lot of people hate it but it's really good. Can't wait for another season.

Okay, 8 episodes really? What are they trying to do pull a Munto, but Munto had 9 episode and later a movie..... unless they plan to make a movie after these 8 episode then this "new season" is more like a "new series of OVAs"

Someone explained in an earlier thread that it's not really a second season, it's one series split up by a season and it was always planned that way. However, the first half DVD sales apparently weren't so good, The producers were obligated to continue the show as planned but they were able to lessen the amount of episodes they had to air.

Fans should be counting themselves lucky to be getting 8 more episodes. This show bombed in Japan in terms of DVD/BD sales (or at least, not even selling half of the "Manabi Line"). I'd love to have 8 more episodes of Seto no Hanayome for instance, or Kannagi.
