Really? He only read Killing Joke recently? I mean, I did, too, but I figured a guy who works in that biz would've seen it sooner.

Might've been precisely because he's in "that biz" that he has no time to read just for fun, as evidenced by his absolutely insane work hours.

Holy cow. I mean, really. Anybody who still thinks a comics creator has it easy is outta their mind.

Putting that aside, I'm happy to hear KUSA will be re-releasing Genshiken (even if I'm still getting used to omnibuses, I'll be the first to praise their overall lower price tags).

Hopefully Alive: The Final Evolution will be released in its entirely someday. I want to own that series so bad.

Yes, the manga business. You're lucky he read it at all. American comics don't really sell or are a blip on the radar in Japan. Prolly read it in his hotel here or something Razz

Is it that surprising that a manga artist haven't read a random comic book? I'm sure that are even comic book fans whose never seen it before.

Now what WOULD be surprising is if it's revealed that this guy has never read One Piece in his entire life, and that it's just a coincidence his character designs are very similar to One Piece...and kinda funny too.

Hopefully they'll follow the omnibus releases with Genshiken Nidaime. Also, no mention of Moyashimon or Me and the Devil Blues?
