This looks like a bright Mahou Shoujo Tai Arusu/Magical Girl Alice. I loved that series, despite being so dark and foreboding =0\.

That's what I thought when I first saw this too. The cartoonier style and imaginative animation to me feels like a 90's OVA (the first thing I was reminded of was Magic User's Club  ). This trailer also has a sort of kid-friendly, adult-appreciable look to it that bucks the kind of trends that many kid-merchandisable or otaku-appealing shows seem to have these days, so it's really interesting to see a work like this get produced.
Studio Trigger is also responsible for my favorite new show this season (Inferno Cop  ), so I'm looking forward to how Little Witch Academia turns out too.

This looks more amazing every time they release more stuff about it! I loooooooove the effects like the smoke and streaming light and sparkles, and how cute and quirky the characters look, and the pretty colors... I'm basically the little girl at 0:14 right now!!

I really hope someone brings this stateside, the animation just looks beautiful! I also hope it does well in Japan because i'd love to see more stuff like this! *knock on wood*

Reminds me of Tweeny Witches which I loved, this looks awesome and should be fun, love that dynamic animation(!) and that trailer music was nice too
If this is as good as it looks from the visuals, I wouldn't mind a full series Trigger

Which is the same show as frubam mentioned, Mahou Shoujo Tai Arisu. Despite that I was going to say the same . Apart from the much improved animation if they had advertised this as a sequel based on this trailer no one would be the wiser, it's remarkable similar in style. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
It is a pity it will only be a 30min OVA. |
