For the Akira watcher, I'd recommend Roujin Z, Memories, Spriggan, Metropolis, Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress and Tokyo Godfathers. And Innocence is being released sub-only, because Dreamworks only cares about the success of Shark Tales and Shrek 2.
