You know, I'm suprised there's been no attempt at launching an anime channel in the Orlando/Central Florida area. There's a huge fanbase here, and the station would take off quicker than the space shuttle on a sunny day. Heck, it was a Central Floridian who launched the Anime Network. :P

But anyhow, lucky to those who get this... er... network-channel-thing, and unlucky to those who don't.
Patience is a virtue.

According to the news post:
Quote:
Announcements regarding cable providers that will start carrying the network in the fourth quarter (Between October and December) are expected in the next month.

Does that mean that even the people who get the channel locally (like in Atlanta) might not get the channel on cable right away, or at all? Sorry for asking here, but neither IATV's website, nor the website of my cable company provided much help.

I only see two west cost markets in that list. Confused

Maybe four, if you really push it. Definitely not six. Laughing

It looks like they're playing Patlabor TV and 12 Kingdoms. I really liked the first 2 patlabor movies, so I'm excited to see this. And my brother's been telling me about 12 kingdoms, so I'm kinda intrigued about this one.
Lucky I'm in Seattle! This is (if not one of) the best cities in the USA for Anime/Manga fans.

It would like that too, plus Comcast should have a space for it since they are showing G4TechTV (I miss TechTV... Sad ) on two channels... Smile

Oh, I am so jealous! And I told my mom I didn't want her to move to Atlanta! Big mistake there! Hopefully, Southern Florida will be getting it soon since I'm moving there. And hopefully Direct TV will be getting it since that's what my mom has.

I am sad about this (because dad recieve the cable change last night and it didn't say much as new channels except Nick Toon Anime cry). Oh well, now I think I will mail Comcast a letter for request (I don't think I should worry because Washington Area Maryland might get it because at the Asian pop. But, I don't know about how will Southern Maryland. Hey, maybe it will become a local channel like MHz).

Comcast need to loosen some channels. We have repeats of Toon Disney (The one that isn't suppose to be Spanish is English), SOAP, and some of it music channels (mostly Spainish but I think they will delete them). I remember seeing Asian Channels on Comcast Digital Cable (And you had to order it), do they still have it around Maryland (I think we lost some due to Spanish channels).

I'm suprised that Denver ended up on the list. It does have a reasonably sized Asian population (mostly Korean), but I figured other cities would make the cut first.

Maybe it's the availability of a broadcast station. But I checked the call-sign and come up with a Colorado Springs CBS affiliate station. So are they moving it up here? And the DT has me confused. I've looked it up, but still don't see wether I'll need a special TV or adaptor to see the broadcast. This would be great to have at my store because we don't have cable installed.
