Plot Summary: Willum was a church mouse who resided at William Bradford’s church located within England. The church was used for worship gatherings for the group of individuals known as pilgrims. The religious beliefs of the pilgrims defer from the common beliefs that are used in England. For that reason, the pilgrims are labeled as being separatists and are often ridiculed by the majority of the population of England. During a worship service, Willum hears about Bradford’s news that the pilgrims will be able to move to a new land located on the continent of America. This is very exciting news to celebrate upon, as the pilgrims see this as an opportunity to settle in a land where they can establish their own rules and have the freedom of worship. The journey to this new land will be a perilous one, but fortunately Willum will be tagging along the journey to make sure that the pilgrims will accomplish their goal.
