Description:
While working in the fields,​ a bamboo cutter named Okina comes across a glowing bamboo shoot.​ When he cuts it open,​ he discovers a tiny girl named Kaguya inside.​ He takes the girl home,​ where he and his wife,​ Ona,​ raise her.​ Kaguya grows into a beautiful woman,​ and when Okina finds gold near the glowing bamboo shoot,​ he is convinced Kaguya is of royal lineage.​ But Kaguya is more than mere royalty.​ The secrets of her past are about to be revealed.​ When they are,​ Kaguya's life,​ and the lives of her adoptive parents,​ will change forever.​
