New Italian-Designed Hello Kitty Apparel Line Offered

New high-end "Pynkiss" line to launch during Milan's Fashion Week 2011

A new high-end Hello Kitty fashion brand, titled "Pynkiss," will launch this year with Italian-designed apparel. The Pynkiss line will launch with more than 200 designs during Milan's Fashion Week, which takes place from September 21-27 in Italy. The line for girls and women, which will feature Sanrio's leading mascot character Hello Kitty, will contain collections for babies, children, teens and adults.

The line will be sold in Pynkiss stores in the Middle East and in Asia starting in January, and also in global department stores such as Bloomingdales and Galeries Lafayette. Key adult apparel will range between US$150 and US$300, with T-shirts starting at US$45.

Pynkiss plans to also release accessories, bags, and other items in the future.

In the past, Sanrio has collaborated with Capcom's Street Fighter franchise, American rock band Kiss, the One Piece franchise, visual-kei band X Japan, and virtual diva Hatsune Miku.
