Zelda Playing Cards with 8-Bit & Modern Art Sold by Nintendo

posted on by Egan Loo
Each suit represents a different game in 25-year-old game franchise

The game maker Nintendo will sell playing cards with art from four generations of The Legend of Zelda games in early December. Each suit represents a different game in the long-running franchise:

Spades: The Legend of Zelda (1986, Famicom/Nintendo Entertainment System)

Hearts: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (2002, GameCube)

Diamonds: The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time 3D (2011, 3DS)

Clubs: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (2011, Wii)

The playing cards harken back to the roots of Nintendo a century ago; long before video games were invented, the company started out as a card-making company.
