Ring's Sadako Appears in Ad for Live Action Film 'Another'

Long-haired horror film character shown clutching popcorn, excited for film
The Ring horror series's iconic Sadako character is featured in a new 15-second television ad for the upcoming live-action adaptation of Yukito Ayatsuji's horror novel Another. The advertisement claims that the character supports the film, and shows her excitedly clutching a bucket of popcorn.
The official website for the film streamed its teaser trailer in March, and its full trailer was released in May.
Takeshi Furusawa (Avec Punch, Ghost Train) is directing the film, which opens in Japan on August 4.
Crunchyroll streamed the anime version into several countries as it aired in Japan. Sentai Filmworks will release the anime digitally "through multiple outlets" and will then release it on DVD and Blu-ray later this year.
