Team Ninja, Spark Unlimited Collaborating with Kenji Inafune on Yaiba Game

Zombie game now titled Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z

Koei Tecmo revealed at the "Team Ninja Night 2012" event in Tokyo on Wednesday that Keiji Inafune (Rockman/Mega Man) and his company comcept are collaborating with Team Ninja (Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive series) and Spark Unlimited (Lost Planet 3) to create Inafune's Yaiba zombie game, now renamed as Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z.

Comcept is currently streaming a new promotional video for the game.

The game will star a new ninja named Yaiba, who is chasing after Ryu Hayabusa, the protagonist of the Ninja Gaiden video game.

Inafune had revealed the game in an announcement trailer earlier this month. Inafune remarked at the time that since he is associated as a "zombie lover," he wanted to create a zombie game. He also noted that he thought up the concept for the game soon after becoming an independent game developer, and the game will be filled with things that he likes: zombies, action, ninja, and mecha.

Inafune is currently also working on Soul Sacrifice, due out this winter, and the Guild01 sequel Guild02. Inafune and Marvelous AQL just released the J.J Rockets spartphone game last week.
