Rie Tanaka Posts Photo of Hawaii Wedding to Kouichi Yamadera

Voice actress Rie Tanaka (Chobits, Hayate the Combat Butler, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed) posted a photo of her January 3 wedding ceremony with fellow voice actor Kouichi Yamadera (Cowboy Bebop, Allison & Lillia) in Oahu, Hawaii on her official Twitter account on Monday. She posted a message with the image, saying:

“I was married on Oahu island on my birthday, surrounded by my parents and relatives. I am very happy. It was the best birthday ever! I was really happy to see messages from everyone. Thank you so much.”

Yamadera announced his marriage registration to Tanaka via Twitter on his birthday on June 17 of last year. This tweet became the top retweeted tweet in Japan for 2012, with 68,523 people re-tweeting his post, and 7,382 people "favoriting" it.

Yamadera was once married to voice actress Mika Kanai (Galaxy Angel's Vanilla) until 2006.
