Ayana Taketatsu Cosplays as Her K-ON! Character Azusa

Voice actress Ayana Taketatsu (Sword Art Online's Leafa/Suguha, My Wife is the Student Council President's Ui) posted pictures on her official Twitter account on Friday of herself cosplaying as her K-ON! character Azusa Nakano. One image showed her in the cat-eared persona of "AZU-nyan," and the other image shows her in a gravure image with Azusa's plain uniform.
The 27-year-old became her teenage character for a petit milady Halloween cosplay party. petit milady is Taketatsu's voice actress unit with Aoi Yūki (My Hero Academia's Tsuyu, Puella Magi Madoka Magica's Madoka). Taketatsu said cosplaying as Azusa was a very fresh experience because she had never done gravure photos wearing a uniform before.
Taketatsu voiced Azusa in both seasons of the K-ON! television anime series, as well as the K-ON! film. She also performed theme and insert songs for the television anime and film.
Voice actors often do partial or complete cosplay of their characters. For example, Sachika Misawa posted pictures on her blog in 2012 of her cosplay as Accel World's Kuroyukihime. She also wore her character's school uniform in the photos.
