The fish egg loving esper Hina crashes into Yoshifumi Nitta's apartment in a device that could only be described as "egg-like". The metallic capsule holds her entire body and anyone else who accidentally activates it. Fans of the show can now take cozy Hina and mortified Nitta anywhere as a keychain.
The online shop Brain Police is offering three-dimensional rubber keychains of both characters inside the capsule device for 1,500 yen each (US$13.50). Pre-orders are open until July 8 and are expected to ship in mid-August.
Hinamatsuri premiered in Japan on April 6 and aired its final episode this week. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs in Japan with English subtitles, and it describes the story:
Nitta Yoshifumi, a young, intellectual yakuza, lived surrounded by his beloved pots in his turf in Ashigawa. But one day, a girl, Hina, arrives in a strange object, and uses her telekinetic powers to force Nitta to allow her to live with him, putting an end to his leisurely lifestyle. Hina tends to lose control of herself, wreaking havoc both at school and in Nitta's organization. Though troubled, he finds himself taking care of her. What will become of this strange arrangement?
