AnimEigo says KOR TV project nearing completion

posted on

AnimEigo's plan to release an entire boxed set of laserdiscs and videotapes of the entire 48-episode TV series of Kimagure Orange Road (KOR) is reportedly entering the final stages. On their homepage tuesday, AnimEigo said that after a few more test-viewings, the show would be heading for the studio for mastering.

Kimagure Orange Road, a 1989 series from Jump! Comics that chronicles the love triangle between a psychic boy, a whinny immature girl, and her sultry best friend, has attracted a cult following (most of them heavily attracted to main love interest Madoka Ayukawa) in both Japan and the United States. The OAV series and first movie were released domestically by AnimEigo in 1992, and A.D. Vision released the New Kimagure Orange Road movie last year.
