New Vampire Hunter D movie renamed

posted on
In order to avoid confusion between the two movies, Urban Vision has decided to rename the new Vampire Hunter D: Movie to Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust

From Urban Vision:

In order to avoid confusion with its predecessor, it was clear that we needed to alter the name a little bit for the release of the new movie here in the US.

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust will be the complete title.

This movie is not a remake of the old 1985 Vampire Hunter D video, and while it may be considered a sequel, you need not have watched the first movie to understand this one. Bloodlust is an entirely new film, based off primarily the third novel on D written by Hideyuki Kikuchi, with a completely original story and new characters. It has also been animated by the renowned MADHOUSE STUDIOS, directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri, best known for productions such as Ninja Scroll and Wicked City.

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust is a completely new entity of its own, setting a precedent in animation. Look for it this fall in theaters!

Come visit our booth at Anime Expo 2001! The Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust booth will be located next to the Urban Vision booth, in the Exhibit Hall - booths 713 and 715!

Visit the Vampire Hunter D Booth to get some great freebies and be sure to grab a ticket to get into the premiere screening of the new theatrical teaser!

The screening will take place in Video Room 2, the Regency Ballroom at the Hyatt on Friday, July 6, at 4:00pm. Seating is limited, so it's first come first seated with a ticket! These tickets will be available only at the Vampire Hunter D booth!
