Bandai Visual USA to Release Tokyo Metro Explorers

Bandai Visual USA has announced the North American release of SOS! Tokyo Metro Explorers: The Next, the anime adaptation of Akira creator Katsuhiro Ōtomo's 1996 manga. The company will release both Blu-ray Disc and standard DVD versions of this 40-minute film, which was produced by Sunrise, on December 11 for US$64.99 and US$54.99, respectively. Extras in both will include audio commentary, interviews, and a twelve-page booklet of background notes and other information.
Directed by Shinji Takagi, SOS! Tokyo Metro Explorers: The Next is the story of a fifth-grader who discovers a log of underground exploration his father kept, and is drawn into a battle involving the people who live beneath Tokyo and an old Imperial Japanese Army soldier.
