Dark Horse Drops Monthly Blade of the Immortal Issues

Dark Horse has announced in issue 130 (on sale October 10) of Hiroaki Samura's Blade of the Immortal samurai manga that issue 131 (on sale November 7) will be its last monthly issue. The manga will continue in graphic novel format. The title is one of the last manga to be released in 32-page monthly issues similar to American comic books, as the North American industry has shifted to graphic novels and serialized anthology magazines similar to Japan's. Dark Horse ended its monthly Oh My Goddess! (Aa— Megami-sama—) issues in 2004 and its Super Manga Blast anthology in 2005. Thanks, Daniel Zelter. Source: AICN Anime
