Death Note Artist Obata to Attend Japan Expo in Paris

The French manga publisher Kana has revealed that Death Note artist Takeshi Obata will appear at the Japan Expo convention, which runs in Paris from July 3 to July 6. Writer Tsugumi Ohba and Obata's Death Note supernatural suspense manga has been a popular hit for Kana since it began publishing the French-translated version. (Kana publishes many titles from Shueisha, the publisher of Death Note's home magazine of Weekly Shonen Jump.) Obata has also drawn the Hikaru no Go board game manga, the Blue Dragon: Ral Ω Grad game spinoff manga, and the Ayatsuri Sakon supernatural mystery manga. The recently reunited X Japan rock group announced last month that it will perform a concert on July 5 in Paris.
