Tokumei Kakarichō Tadano Hitoshi: Saigo no Gekijō-ban (Special Mission Section Chief Hitoshi Tadano: The Final Film, the theatrical finale to the live-action adaptation of Kimio Yanagisawa's salaryman action manga, debuted at #5 at the Japanese box office during the December 6-7 weekend. According to Box Office Mojo, it earned the equivalent of US$907,717 on 267 screens.
Yes! Precure 5 GoGo! Okashi no Kuni no Happy Birthday, the theatrical spinoff from the ongoing Yes! Precure 5 GoGo! television series, dropped from #4 to #8 at the Japanese box office its fifth weekend. The movie is the fifth theatrical release from the Precure or Pretty Cure magical girl anime franchise. It made the equivalent of US$390,925 on 148 screens to add to its US$7,317,017 total.
