Japanese Box Office, December 27-28

Major: Yūjō no Winning Shot, Takao Kato's anime film based on Takuya Mitsuda's baseball manga, rose back up from #6 to #5 in its third weekend on Kogyo Tsushinsha's Japanese box office chart for December 27-28. Eiga! Tamagotchi Uchū Ichi Happy na Monogatari!?, the second feature film inspired by Bandai's Tamagotchi! virtual pet franchise, also rose from #9 to #8 in its second weekend.
Bleach: Fade to Black - Kimi no Na o Yobu, the third anime film inspired by Tite Kubo's manga, stayed at #10 in its third weekend. Gegege no Kitarō: Nippon Bakuretsu!!, the first film based on the most recent television reincarnation of Shigeru Mizuki's Gegege no Kitarō supernatural action manga, fell from #7 off the chart in its second weekend.
Andrew Stanton and Pixar's computer-animated Wall-E film returned from #2 back to the #1 spot in its fourth week. It swapped places with Scott Derrickson and Fox's remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still science-fiction film classic.
