Michiko, Pyu to Jaguar's Yoko Maki Has 1st Child

The management office of actress Yōko Maki has announced via fax on Sunday that she gave birth to her first child, a girl. Both the mother and the baby are in good health. The 26-year-old actress is best known in Japan for acting in such films as The Princess Blade (Lady Snowblood), Infection, the first English-language version of The Grudge, and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. However, she began voice-acting during her pregnancy by starring as Michiko in Manglobe's Michiko to Hatchin television action anime series (2008-09). She also played a queen in Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar ~Ima, Fuki ni Yukimasu~, Kaeruotoko Shokai's Flash-animated film version of Kyōsuke Usuta's Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar comedy manga. She married a former actor, who she knew for three years, on November 11.
