Precure All Stars DX2: Kibō no Hikari to open in Japan on March 20

The official website for the Precure All Stars DX2: Kibō no Hikari— Rainbow Angel o Mamore! (Precure All Stars DX2: Light of Hope— Protect the Rainbow Angel!) anime film has launched a preview page. The website is streaming a 26-second promotional video for the film. The film will open in Japan on March 20.

The previous Precure All Stars DX film, Precure All Stars DX: Minna Tomodachi—Kiseki no Zenin Daishūgō, bridged all six Pretty Cure (Precure) television series from Toei Animation by including the casts from all six years. The sixth Pretty Cure television series, Fresh Pretty Cure, premiered this past February. The seventh film, Fresh Precure! Omocha no Kuni wa Himitsu ga Ippai!?, opened in Japan on Saturday. The Canadian TV network YTV began showing the entire first Futari wa Pretty Cure television series on March 6.

The official website for the One Piece anime films has begun streaming the second full 96-second trailer for this December's One Piece Film Strong World on Saturday. (In the linked page, select the "ムービー" link in the compass icon, and then select the "予告動画2" link.) This movie is the 10th installment in the long-running theatrical franchise based on Eiichiro Oda's pirate manga. Unlike previous One Piece films, Oda is personally overseeing this film's production. He created the movie's story and has drawn over 120 pages of rough drawings for its production.

The film will open in Japan on December 12. Viz Media has published the 22nd volume of the original manga in North America this month, and it is running the latest chapters from Japan in the English Shonen Jump magazine this fall. Funimation has been releasing the television anime version and the eighth film, One Piece: The Desert Princess and the Pirates: Adventure in Alabasta. The first 1.5 million moviegoers of this year's film will receive a "0th volume" manga volume that wil depict the world of the One Piece 20 years ago — in particular, the Pirate King Gold Roger versus the Gold Lion Shiki.
