The 1993 Takara-Tomy toy franchise B-Daman will relaunch in an updated version this summer under the name Cross Fight B-Daman. The toy line will launch on August 28 and includes character designs by Yūji Nagai, creator of the manga A Penguin's Troubles. The toys launch marbles to start the game.

The original B-Daman game sold over 80 million units in 30 regions worldwide in its lifespan, which lasted as far as 2004 when Hasbro, Fox Entertainment Group, and Atlus USA brought the toys, anime, and games (respectively) to the United States. The B-Legend! Battle Bedaman series aired on Cartoon Network, Toon Disney, and G-4. The series also aired in at least ten other countries around the world, including the United Kingdom, Canada, India, Germany, Ecuador, and the Philippines.
