The online music distributor JapanFiles.com has announced that Rika Ishikawa, who portrays Angry in the pop duo Hangry & Angry, will make a special appearance on October 9 at the New York Anime Festival. She will attend a panel discussion with Hangry & Angry character designer Gashicon to discuss and show clothes that were inspired by the music group and designed by Hirooka Naoto. Naoto is a designer with a focus on gothic, punk and lolita fashion, and has designed many clothes for Hangry & Angry. New York's Fashion Institute of Technology will feature Naoto's designs in a window display for the Japan Fashion Now event running from September 17, 2010 through January 8, 2011.

Hangry & Angry is a group formed by Hitomi Yoshizawa and Rika Ishikawa, former members of Hello Project's Morning Musume girl group. The duo is based on characters created by Hirooka Naoto and Gashicon. Hangry & Angry made their American premiere at Sakura-Con 2009, and Hitomi Yoshizawa appeared at Anime Expo in 2009.
