V.B. Rose's Hidaka, Kirarin's Nakahara Start New Manga

Tenshi 1/2 Hōteishiki, Niji-iro*Prism Girl launch this month

This year's 19th issue of Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine has announced on Saturday that V.B. Rose manga creator Banri Hidaka will be launching a new manga called Tenshi 1/2 Hōteishiki (Angel 1/2 Equation) in the next issue on September 18. The story will feature the next generation of the "Akiyoshi Family" metaseries — Hidaka's string of manga titles with members of the Akiyoshi family. Specifically, the new romantic comedy will feature the children of a couple from Hidaka's I Hate You More than Anyone (Sekai de Ichiban Daikirai) manga.

In a Saturday blog entry, Hidaka said that her other current work, Berry Berry, will continue, although she asked for her readers' patience.

Tokyopop will publish the 10th V.B. Rose manga volume in North America in November. DC Comics' CMX Manga imprint published the ninth I Hate You More than Anyone volume and the seventh and final Tears of a Lamb volume earlier this year, before DC Comics shuttered the imprint in July.

Kirarin Revolution manga creator An Nakahara has also launched a new series called Niji-iro*Prism Girl (Rainbow-Colored Prism Girl) in the October issue of Shogakukan's Ciao magazine on Friday. The story in the first 45-page chapter centers on the daughter of a talent agency president. She has beauty, athleticism, and everything else she needs to be an actress — except she happens to despise the entertainment world.

In the same October issue of Ciao, Mizuki Kuze (Dennō Coil) is launching her Mashiro-ke Complex! (Mashiro Family Complex!) manga series. In this manga, a girl discovers that her three brothers may not be her biological brothers after all. The first version of the story appeared in the spinoff magazine Ciao DX.

Nao Maita has finished her Ano Hi, Bokura wa… manga series in the October issue of Ciao, and Yuka Nakajima (Waratte Himiko-san, Kirakira Hikare) will launch her Kokoro Curtain (Heart Curtain, pictured at left) school romance manga in the next issue on October 2.
