Uniqlo clothing stores throughout Japan will be offering a "Naruto x UT Original DVD" with all-new animation on January 1. The DVD will contain an original Naruto anime video set to an exclusive version of "Mayonaka no Orchestra," the upcoming song by the Japanese rock band Aqua Timez (pictured below). A limited number of the DVDs will be offered as presents to people who buy Uniqlo's Naruto graphic T-shirts online or in stores.
The DVD marks the first collaboration between Naruto and Uniqlo. Naruto manga creator Masashi Kishimoto himself drew the illustrations for two of the shirts, and Studio Pierrot, the studio behind the television anime version, was responsible for five of the shirts. Altogether, there are 11 different T-shirt styles. Stores in Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, and France will also distribute the DVD. There will be 200,000 DVDs in all worldwide, and 5,000 will be reserved for random drawings among online buyers of the T-shirts from January 1 to January 7.
The "Mayonaka no Orchestra" CD single will ship in Japan on January 26.
