10,000 maps show real-life locales for Toaru Majutsu no Index, Toaru Kagaku no Railgun

The Tokyo-area cities of Tama and Tachikawa announced that they will be distributing 10,000 free limited-edition Academy City Maps, which show the real-life locales behind the Toaru Majutsu no Index and Toaru Kagaku no Railgun anime, in January. The setting of both anime, Academy City (Gakuen Toshi), is based on the local area. The map is part of the larger "Toaru Anime no Gakuen Toshi-ka Kikaku" ("A Certain Anime Academy City Urbanization Project") by the Tama Area Film Commission and other organizations.

Due to the small number of maps, there will be a limit of one per person for those who wait in line. Barring bad weather, 2,000 maps will be distributed each day on January 15, 16, 22, 23, and 29.
