Pachinko-based TV anime's simulcast date, time still to be announced

The media distribution site Crunchyroll announced on its forums on Thursday that it will simulcast the television anime adaptation of the pachinko game Sengoku Otome - Momoiro Paradox under the English name Battle Girls - Time Paradox. Premium members world-wide (except in Japan and Korea) will have access to the simulcast after the series' broadcast in Japan. The simulcast will only be available to free members one week later and only in the following territories: the United States and its territories, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.

The original 2008 game re-imagines Japan's tumultuous sengoku jidai (Era of Warring States) with all of the warriors as female characters. The series' protagonist is Hideyoshi, a modern-day middle school girl who unexpectedly finds herself in this alternative-historical setting. TV Tokyo announced the TV anime this past February by launching its official website.

The series is scheduled to begin on April 4 in Japan. Hideki Okamoto (D.C. II: Da Capo II, Nagasarete Airantou) is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment, and Touko Machida (Ōkamikakushi, GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class, Lucky Star) is supervising the scripts. Koji Yamakawa (chief animation director of Strike Witches, Strike Witches 2) is adapting Shirogumi's original game designs and overseeing the animation process.

Update: Added region information.

Update 2: Added background information and image.
