Jojo's Araki Makes Shonen Jump 1-Shot, 1st Artbook in 12 Years
posted on by Egan Loo
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga creator Hirohiko Araki will return to Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine with a new one-shot manga next month, and his first new art book collection in 12 years will be published. The announcements were made in the 25 Years With Jojo anniversary booklet that is bundled with the October issue of Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine on Wednesday.
Araki's fictional manga creator alter-ego Rohan Kishibe will "contribute" his latest manga chapter called "Kishibe Rohan wa Ugokanai ~Episode 5~" in this year's 45th Weekly Shonen Jump issue on October 6. Then, Shueisha will take pre-orders "soon" for the new artbook, which will include illustrations, a history of Araki by his first editor, and the latest encyclopedia of Stands. More information will be announced in Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine and Araki's official araki-jojo.com website.
The 25 Years With Jojo booklet has 22 other manga creators contributing tribute art and messages to celebrate the 25th anniversary of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
