Dictatorial Grimoire Manga Listed by Seven Seas' Distributor

Online retailer Amazon and publisher Macmillan are both listing that Seven Seas Entertainment will release Ayumi Kanou's Dictatorial Grimoire: Cinderella manga starting in September. Macmillian lists that the first 176-page volume will include color inserts and will retail for US$13.99 (CAD$15.99). Seven Seas declined to comment regarding the listings.
Dictatorial Grimoire (Dokusai Grimoire) is a three-volume manga series that re-imagines classic characters from Grimm's Fairy Tales, with a focus on Cinderella, Snow White, and Little Red Riding Hood. The hero, Grimm Otogi, is the half-Japanese descendent of The Brothers Grimm who learns that his ancestors made a deal with mystical beings called Märchen Demons, who have now returned to take Otogi's life as part of the bargain. A male Cinderella becomes Otogi's guide as he tries to stop the demons. Media Factory published the final volume in Japan last September.
Author and artist Ayumi Kanou also created a Tales of the Abyss manga adaptation, Tales of the Abyss: Jade's Secret Memories. The series was licensed by Bandai Entertainment, but the release was cancelled when Bandai Entertainment stopped releasing new manga titles last year.
