New Pac-Man 3D CG Series to Run for 39 Episodes

Namco Bandai Games, Arad Productions, and 41 Entertainment announced on Monday that a second season of PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures was commissioned. The series is slated for 39 episodes with the first 13 slated to premiere immediately, followed by another 13 in September, and the last 13 next spring. The companies will decide whether to expand the series to a total of 52 episodes after the MIPCOM trade show in October.

41 Entertainment CEO Allen Bohbot said that several broadcasters want to air the series on a daily schedule, and they can with the show's extended 39-episode length. Bohbot expects the show to continue into 2015.

Namco Bandai Games filed for the "Pac-Man Dash!" and "Pac-Man Monsters" trademarks in Europe on last month. Both were filed for use with video games and entertainment services. No games with those titles have been announced.

The 3D CG animated series will air on America's Disney XD channel.
