Free!, Death Note voice actor to reprise title role in January 2014 anime

The official website for the Wooser's Hand-to-Mouth Life television anime series confirmed on Friday that Mamoru Miyano will perform a theme song for the second season. The singer and voice actor will reprise his role as the title character for the season slated to premiere in January 2014.

Miyano announced that he would perform the unnamed song at his "Mamoru Miyano Special Live 2013~Traveling!~" event on Friday. He will release the song as his 10th CD single.

ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Hobby Magazine announced in August that a second season of the anime adaptation of Yoshiki Usa and Tomoko Fujinoki's Wooser no Sono Higurashi manga had been green-lit. The first anime season of Wooser's Hand-to-Mouth Life premiered in Japan last October.

Tomoko Fujinoki and supercell member Usa's Wooser no Sono Higurashi original 3D shorts center around Wooser, a mysterious mascot character who lives on the Internet and whose charming appearance belies a corrupt heart that craves money, meat, and gals.

Miyano has performed theme songs for anime such as Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club, Inu X Boku Secret Service, and Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 1000%. His voice acting roles have included Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club's Rin Matsuoka, Death Note's Light Yagami, Steins;Gate's Rintarō Okabe, and Durarara!!'s Masaomi Kida.
