Eagle Marin, Ophiuchus Shaina, Unicorn Jabu, Hydra Ichi, Tanatos, Hypnos join roster

The European arm of Namco Bandai Games began streaming the fifth promotional video for PlayStation 3 game Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers with English subtitles on Thursday. The video introduces the playable characters Eagle Marin, Ophiuchus Shaina, Unicorn Jabu, Hydra Ichi, Tanatos, and Hypnos. The video also notes that "to take down Hades and his strong army, Seiya and other Saints had to put on their armour made from Athena's blood: the 'God Cloth.'" The same video debuted without English subtitles on Wednesday.

Dimps is developing the game, which will include over 50 playable characters from the Sanctuary, Poseidon, and Hades arcs of Masami Kurumada's mythological fantasy manga and anime. Up to two players can fight as Pegasus Seiya, Phoenix Ikki, Andromeda Shun, Cygnus Hyōga, Dragon Shiryū, and more. Gemini Saga, Sea King Poseidon, and Meiō Hades will also appear for the first time in a game adaptation as bosses. Players will be able to enhance their characters' hit points, strength levels and "Cosmos Power Gauge" as they progress through the game.

The game will ship in Japan on October 17. The first copies of the game will come with a product code for Gold Gloth Shion and saint custom theme. There will be a limited-edition 13,480-yen (US$135) Pegasus Box with the game itself, a Pegasus Seiya Shinsei Bronze Cloth Original Color Edition figure, a product code for the same Bronze Cloth in the game, and a box.

Namco Bandai Games is also releasing the game outside of Japan in North America, Europe, Australasia, and South America. The game will be a digital download in North America on November 26, and in stores in Mexico, Brazil, and the rest of Latin America.
